DAY TWENTY-FOUR - EUGENE DePASQUALE

Day Twenty-four | Eugene Depasquale | PA-10
611 Sawbuck Patriots | $6310 pledged today | $185,855 donated overall

Dear *|FNAME|*:

From the mailbag:

Sawbuck Patriots:

Thank you so much for your tremendous and consistent support for Democratic races across the country. The value of grassroots donations can't be overstated as we work against a machine powered by massive corporate checks. Control of the Senate has never meant more.

Georgia is going to be the premier battleground state this year and with your help, we're one step closer to securing victory. You're helping us to spread our message across Georgia and build on the Democratic infrastructure that's been established here over the past few election cycles. Please keep up the good work - the finish line is in sight.

Another housekeeping note: if you're looking for additional ways to get involved, the Sister District Project, which focuses on flipping state legislatures and ending gerrymandering, is having a briefing on October first - register for free. This is around-the-corner, next-generation, build-for-the-future strategy - dive in if that kind of work appeals to you.

And team, you’ve been reading some LONG emails from me lately. Since I’m super-sore about McConnell and Graham and Rubio and Trump and company playing by no rules at all, today I'm going brief and to the point.

THE SITUATION: Pennsylvania, which is in play for the Presidency, and a state we have to win.

  • PA-10 is focused in Harrisburg, and runs through south-central PA.

  • Despite the R incumbent, and Trump carrying PA-10 by nine points, the district is generally rated as a toss-up by handicappers, and the polling confirms their analysis.

  • The makeup of the PA congressional delegation will suddenly become relevant if the election is contested; right now there's a 9-9 tie.

  • We need to flip one seat in PA to get a D majority.

  • (This is that seat.)

THE OPPONENT: NO. Not gonna do this in depth. His name’s Scott Perry, PA newspapers describe him as a "frequent defender of Trump," and today, that’s all I need to know.

OUR CANDIDATE: Eugene DePasquale. He’s the Pennsylvania State Auditor General, and formerly served in the PA House of Representatives (state, not federal). Working to elect him a) flips a seat to protect the House, b) gets the Ds a majority of the PA delegation, and c) increases the turnout for Biden/Harris in a battleground state. Frequent Defender of Trump won with just 51% in '18, and THE MATH SAYS THAT GENE CAN BEAT HIM.

Sawbuck Patriots, it’s go time: click HERE and send $10 (or more) to Eugene's campaign. Our collective effort will invest $6310 today.

ps - if you were hoping to read a long, in-depth, detailed discussion about a district, please visit www.sawbuckpatriots.com - all the back issues of my rants are archived there. I'll get granular again tomorrow. Just too damn angry to do it today.
